A heat pump is a heating and cooling system for your home that is far more efficient than traditional systems. It works by extracting heat outside, even on very cold days, and transferring that heat through refrigerant lines to one or more inside units that circulate the heat in your home.
It reverses this process to act as an air conditioner when in cooling mode. In addition, heat pumps have a dry mode for dehumidification and a fan mode for days when you just want to open the windows and use it as a ceiling fan.

Gold Membership
Includes the annual professional inspection and cleaning, plus free service labor* if your system needs repairs or replacements within the year following the cleaning.
Silver Membership
Includes the annual professional inspection and cleaning for a discounted price. This plan does not include free labor for repairs or service issues.
Pay-as-you-go
Call us when you’d like to schedule an inspection and cleaning for your equipment. Pay-as-you-go inspection and cleanings do not create or extend service memberships.
*The Gold Membership extends your peace of mind guarantee with Valley, but to do so, this membership must be maintained continuously throughout the life of your heat pump.
Why are heat pumps so efficient?
Heat pumps are powered by electricity (240-volt AC), and they save the average Mainer 50 percent on their heating costs. They are approximately two times more efficient than “window rattler” air conditioners. Unlike other economical heating methods such as wood stoves and pellet stoves, heat pumps require very little maintenance, can be left on while you’re away, and are not combustion-based.
