Heat Pump Rebates From Your Town
Other heat pump installation grants are available in Maine, depending on where you live. Here are some heat pump rebates available from individual towns.
- City of Bangor – Residents may be eligible for Heat Pump and Weatherization Assistance Grants of up to $2,000. These are being administered by the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and are based on the homeowner’s income level relative to how many people live in the residence.
- City of Auburn – The Sustainable Auburn Matching Rebate Program is making available $250,000 in funds from Auburn’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). These rebates are available as matching grants for those Auburn residents who qualify for and receive Efficiency Maine rebates. The only qualification for eligibility is proof of receipt of an Efficiency Maine grant.
Financing Options
There are also flexible-payment, low-interest financing options available for qualified heat pump purchasers from the National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF), and for both heat pumps and generators from Synchrony Bank.
